Kyion Grayes

Bio

Coach Kyion is a proud graduate of Troy High School in Fullerton, California, Class of 1997. As the top running back in Orange County during his senior year, his standout performance on the field earned him multiple full-ride scholarship offers. After careful consideration, he chose to attend Arizona State University, playing under the legendary Coach Bruce Snyder.
Following his college football career, Coach Kyion remained in Arizona, where he began building his life beyond the gridiron. He became a devoted father to two sons, Kylan and Kyion II, both of whom inherited his athletic talent—particularly in football. Inspired by their passion and potential, Coach Kyion founded the Arizona Flames, a youth football program that gave him the opportunity to coach not only his sons but many other young athletes. Through this program, he has dedicated himself to teaching the game with integrity, discipline, and love, passing on the knowledge and experience gained from his own journey.
When his youngest son, Kyion II, was recruited to play Division I football at Ohio State University, Coach Kyion took a two-year break from coaching to fully support his son’s transition to college, ensuring a strong foundation both on and off the field.
Today, Coach Kyion continues to inspire and lead by example, shaping the next generation of athletes at Mountain Pointe High School In Ahwatukee AZ, with the same passion that he instilled in his own boys and commitment that defined his own playing day.
