Bio

Entering his first season at Mountain Pointe High School, Coach Xavier “Coach X” Fuentes brings energy, leadership, and a commitment to developing student-athletes both on and off the field. Coach X Is from Chandler, AZ and comes from a big, hardworking family that helped shape his values of hard work, loyalty, perseverance, and putting the team before yourself—values he carries into his coaching every day.
Coach X played offensive line at McClintock High School, earning All-Region and All-District honors. He continued his football career at Dodge City Community College before playing at Northwestern Oklahoma State University at the collegiate level.
Coach X began his high school coaching career at McClintock High School, serving as the Freshman Offensive Line Coach and Assistant Offensive Coordinator. During his season with the freshman program, he helped lead McClintock to its first-ever 9–0 undefeated season.

ATTITUDE: Embrace the unglamorous nature of the position. Offensive linemen rarely get the glory, but they are the heartbeat of the offense.
TOUGHNESS: Play physical, respond when you get beat on a play, and treat adversity as an opportunity to grow stronger.

When Coach X isn’t on the football field, he enjoys spending time outdoors, relaxing at the lake, and camping. He values being outside, unwinding, and spending quality time with family and friends.
